Sing-A-Longs

If your group works for social justice Common Thread could enliven your next meeting or demonstration with a singalong! Groups of trained songleaders, at least six, join your group for 20 minutes or half an hour or even during an entire protest march to teach easy- to- learn pieces appropriate to your mission. From the first selection your group will be singing along, perhaps hesitantly at first but soon with gusto. Our songs feature lots of repetition, harmonious melodies and simple lyrics with deep meaning. Common Thread songleaders have sung with community and national groups involved in peace and development, the labor movement, war resistance, the environment, anti-violence and immigration and settlement. There is no charge.

The Singalong Committee welcomes invitations from groups with goals similar to those of the choir. Please contact salc@commonthreadchorus.ca  or call (416) 410-5022 and give as much notice as possible.
