Why join
If you enjoy singing and are interested in celebrating community and nurturing social justice, Common Thread is the right choir for you! Common Thread is a non-audition chorus that promotes a sense of community by performing joyful and empowering music. We believe that singing is a birthright of all people, something that anyone, regardless of skill level and experience, can participate in and enjoy. All voices are welcome and we provide many services to help our members develop their musical abilities. After I went to the first Common Thread rehearsal I left with a big smile on my face and I told the taxi driver how proud I was of the group. I said to him, "Maybe one day I should take these guys to South Africa just to show them off!"
